Inspired by Love

Before I get into the photo and video information I just wanted to give a very special thanks to Rommhel, Grace, and their families for being the most remarkable crowd I've ever been in the midst of. I made three versions of their video for alternative moods (the other two are only available for Vimeo contacts to see). They compensated me in full on their wedding day, without any complication or hesitation. They told me I could take my time with their edits and because of their understanding nature I've prioritized them at the very top of the list and will make extra effort to make their album and dvd the absolute best. I love them with all of my heart and look forward to our families spending more time with each other in the future. Thanks again! On top of that, we had an unexpected visit from GMA Channel 7 to cover us for their segment on June weddings, 2011.

Technical info: Canon EOS 550D. Nikon D700. Everything done in Final Cut Studio 3 and Lightroom 3.

Creative info: I wanted to show everyone in different color variants how much the song inspires the edit of the video and how much love there was during the event. The black and white version surprisingly has more impact in conjunction with the song. The photos were lacking the saturated colors that I saw in person, the harsh light from the sun washed them out a bit but I made the effort to bring those colors back in post. As for the church, I wanted to give it a bit more drama as there were quite a few heart striking moments.

When we shoot your weddings, we are more than just a wedding service. We are a part of the family, we are there to capture the moments that you share. We put family first, always. We like to fit in with the crowd and make sure that everyone is comfortable around us so that all of the happiness that is shared in the photos are as natural as possible. We love what we do, and it has loved us back by giving us the opportunity to work with you. Thank you.

When we shoot models, we do more than fashion and glamour. We shoot personality. If we've chosen to shoot with you, it's because we foresee a very professional result through your enthusiasm. We will not put our work above us or above you. Because people should always be above their work, that is how it is truly enjoyed. Now, about the creative direction... we are not bossy at all, but we will say something when we know a bad shot can be prevented. (spinach in your teeth, hair in your face in the wrong place, etc) You have the freedom to give your two cents on creative direction and we will not waste any time arguing about it. You have every right to bring an escort of some sort, make-up artist or hair stylist (tell us in advance if you need one), etc if you wish, of course. Just don't bring an army or we might not be able to breathe. Our only two issues are location and time. We have an extremely busy schedule at times and won't be able to adhere a proper itinerary on the fly. But we will be able to book days in advance, respectively. We are commonly known for vibrant colors, but with a darker mood to it. But are not ignorant of everything else, so do not think that we might not try something new with you. Think of our collaboration as a pot luck for ideas. We bring it all to the table, and come to a delectable compromise.

Standard Photo Album: PHP 10,000

Guest Book: PHP 8,000

- An 8x10 guestbook with 20 pages in magazine style with photos of your pre-event session will be laid out in a format to where guests may sign anywhere and give unforgettable testimonials for your beautiful event.



Extra printed DVD: PHP 2,000

- An additional brand new master DVD will be burned (not a copy) and printed for inclusion to the package. This applies for both photo and video. Remember, a master DVD will always outlast a copy. We always burn videos in superbit quality, meaning the best possible quality. However, if you add our USB thumb drive or portable hard disks to your package you will be able to recreate as many master DVDs as you wish.


HD Music video styled edit: PHP 10,000

- A music video styled edit using our footage or yours, approximate length of edit is 3-6 minutes depending on amount of footage and song(s) used.


HD Full length video edit: PHP 25,000

- A full length HD edit using our footage or yours, including audio treatment and full quality output. Approximate length of edit is 45 minutes to one hour depending on amount of footage and song(s) used.


Additional Video Re-edit: PHP 1,000/per edited minute

- A re-edited video, if somehow, someway, our first and second edit wasn't able to match your vision or when two people have a different taste for music. :) Rounded off to the nearest 100PHP. For example, a 2:40 edit will incur a small additional fee of PHP2,600.


Original HD files copied to a portable hard disk: PHP 15,000

- A brand new hard disk will be purchased to save all of the original HD footage files in, and sent to you along with the DVD set. Will include receipt of purchased drive. Will include same downloadable HD copy of the edit.





Pre-nuptial or Pre-debut photo shoot: PHP 10,000

Chosenbydestiny History (2011)

Ryan picked up his first 35mm film SLR in the year 1994 at the age of 13 and began casually taking photos of nature, family, and friends. Casually shooting photos for the school newspaper in high school and for the science club. After experimenting with all genres, he then tried his luck with his first wedding photography gig in 1997. At the time Ryan was also tuning his efforts towards music and involvement in school bands and the orchestra. After finishing high school in 1999, his camera began to collect dust while he began developing his collection of musical instruments, recording, and computer gear.

Chosenbydestiny itself began in the year 2000 when a group of colleagues decided it was time to own their own company and reap what they sow. They began with the recording arts and reached a brand new appeal with their unique style of original music. They offered services ranging from recording to live, and have explored all instruments including DJ turntables. As the group grew smaller and times became harder for the music industry, Ryan Reyes decided to replace his recording studio with a photography studio in 2007, return to his artistic origin, and continue the business alone as a photographer and photograph weddings to better suit the company name, Chosenbydestiny.


In 2008, Ryan pursued publication grade photography with models worldwide and collaborating with clients and events such as Seventeen Magazine, Christian Audigier, Macy’s Passport, Brian Mcknight, Danity Kane, Playboy’s Kayla Collins, Star Magic World Tour, and the Barrack Obama Presidential campaign.


By the year 2009, Chosenbydestiny was a force to be reckoned with in the event photography genre. Ryan was shooting with top of the line cameras and lenses. Thanks to Philippine superstar Rufa Mae Quinto, his popularity rose as his photos attracted even more stars. Although Ryan continued to shoot models he was gaining momentum in his career through politics. In the year 2010 he decided to move to the Philippines permanently and follow the presidential elections under the supervision of Bayani Fernando, former MMDA chairman and a running candidate as vice president of the Philippines for 2010. Although his first gig upon arrival was for Philippine senator, Chiz Escudero.


A medical emergency and economical downturn slowed him down shortly after. He then had to sacrifice almost everything just to survive the crisis. In the wake of a miraculous recovery, Ryan bounced back shooting with an entry level DSLR, and began networking again with the best of the best in the Philippines including Christine Jacob and Sam Milby. Now, he struggles to return his name to the wedding and fashion industry not just as an accomplished photographer, but as a videographer and editor as well. He is now one of the few hybrid coverage specialists who can deliver both photo and video equally well. In 2011, he upgraded all of his gear and partnered up with one of the best photographers in the Philippines, Mr. Anthony Co. And now, the adventure continues...
